La palabra no es el sitio del resplandor, pero insistimos, in-
sistimos, nadie sabe por qué.

The word isn´t the place of brightness, but we insist, we
insist, nobody knows why.

Ya no sé
si puedo hablar en nombre de alguien.

¿Quién es esta sangre, estos tendones, estos ojos,
esta extrañeza, esta antiguedad?
Una fuerza
me tiene de su mano.
Entonces es ella
la que puede decir soy,
la que puede llevar un nombre,
la que puede usar la palabra yo.

I don´t know anymore
if I can speak in aybody´s name.

Who is this blood, these tendons, these eyes,
this strangeness, this antiquity?
A force
has me in its hand.
Then it is she
who can say I am,
who can carry a name
who can use the word I.
