Some people from MIT made a call to make a mapathon for helping the efforts of recovery in Puerto Rico. The idea of the mapathon is to work in producing geographic data like for example roads or building footprints that can be used by people taking decisions in regards to the assistance in disaster zones. They reserve a room in Dewey Library, brought some food and helped around 30 people in editing and creating shapes to the OpenStreetMap information. Amazing experience in my first time in MIT.
