EE.UU. bombardea posiciones de Estado Islámico en Iraq
Washington (EFE). Los aviones de guerra de Estados Unidos atacaron unidades de artillería de las fuerzas del Estado Islámico (EI) en el norte de Iraq, informó hoy el portavoz del Pentágono, el almirante John Kirby.
En un mensaje en su cuenta de Twitter, Kirby aseguró que antes la artillería del EI disparó contra las fuerzas kurdas que defienden la ciudad de Erbil, “cerca de donde se encuentra personal estadounidense”.
Fuentes militares citadas por los medios estadounidenses especificaron que se lanzaron dos bombas de 230 kilogramos desde el portaaviones de la Armada USS George H.W. Bush, que fue desplegado en junio pasado en la zona del Golfo Pérsico junto al crucero USS Philippine Sea.
El jefe del Pentágono, Chuck Hagel, quien se encuentra de visita en India, había indicado previamente que las fuerzas militares de Estados Unidos tenían información suficiente como para saber si eran yihadistas y atacarlos si amenazaban los intereses estadounidenses.
El presidente estadounidense, Barack Obama, en un anuncio inesperado el jueves por la noche, dijo que autorizó ataques contra posiciones del yihadista Estado Islámico, además de una operación humanitaria para asistir a los desplazados en el norte de Iraq.
ENVÍAN AYUDA
Dicha operación de auxilio, que comenzó la pasada madrugada, hora local, tiene como fin distribuir ayuda a decenas de miles de iraquíes que han buscado amparo en una montaña del norte de Iraq asediados por los yihadistas.
El Pentágono informó de que tres aviones Hércules de carga, custodiados por dos aviones de combate, descargaron agua, alimentos y otros suministros y abandonaron la zona sin incidentes.
Pero los militares tienen la autorización de Obama para emplear la fuerza si los yihadistas impiden la misión de socorro para los desplazados o amenazan al personal de EE.UU. que se encuentra en la zona.

Alexander, CTO of Kreditech, developed quant trading algorithms at a Lichtenstein Hedgefund prior to serving as CTO consultant at Rocket Internet. He holds a double Bsc. from University St. Gallen and can calculate faster than you can with a calculator. Challenges are accepted.
RENE GRIEMENS
Rene, CFO of Kreditech, brings in financial and entrepreneurial expertise with 20 years in banking and 15 years of experience in building companies. He previously worked for top-notch companies across Europe, including McKinsey & Company, Citibank, dooyoo Group, and IEG – Investment Banking. With his background in corporate finance and strategic management he leads the global financial strategy of Kreditech.
DANIEL SCHLOTTER
Daniel, CMO of Kreditech, has been advertising privately in the Internet ever since the banner was invented. He worked at the leading German online performance agency prior to joining Kreditech as second employee in early 2012. He also is a feared NERF gun and super soaker sniper in the Kreditech castle.

Andrew, Head of Business Development at Kreditech not only holds the job title most people would ever understand but is overseeing new Biz Dev, Risk and Operations. He worked in New Business Development department at Macqauire Bank after graduating from London School of Economics. His origins lie in South Africa, which means he learned how to surf and play Rugby right before walking.
