La Hora del Perú

El sábado 28 de Marzo hubo en mi casa una reunión familiar por el próximo matrimonio de una de mis primas más queridas. Entre risas y buenos consejos, alguien se percató que ya eran las ocho y media y decidimos apagar las luces. Era la hora del planeta, sesenta minutos sin luz por el bienestar de nuestra Tierra. Encendimos unas velas y seguimos nuestra amena conversación. A las nueve me asomé a la puerta de mi casa para ver como iba la cosa. Efectivamente vi algunas casas sin luz pero la gran mayoría estaban iluminadas incluyendo las calles por supuesto. Tal vez no les avisaron. O tal vez no les llego este simpático mensaje que días antes recibí en mi correo:

La medida, más alla de si es efectiva o no, apuntaba a sensibilizar nuestras conciencias por el problema del calientamiento global. Un problema que nos involucra a todos. Aunque claro, como comenté en otro post creo que las posibilididades juegan en nuestra contra.

Asi como también juega en nuestra contra la posibilidad de obtener un buen resultado en el partido de hoy frente a Brasil. Pero como el ingenio peruano nunca se queda atrás, recibí también este chistosísimo mensaje que hace referencia al primero:

Y sin embargo como casi la mayoría creo, encenderé mi televisor resignado a ver a una de las peores selecciones nacionales enfrentando a un Brasil jugando de local y con todas las ganas de limpiar su imagen a punta de goles. Sinceramente no creo que me afecte la derrota. Ni siquiera si el marcador supera el histórico siete a cero que nos propinó ese mismo equipo en la copa américa del 97 cuando osamos llegar a cuartos de final sin merecerlo. Tampoco me afectará ver correr a nuestros jugadores detrás de las estrellas cariocas en busca de un autógrafo después del monumental papelón, porque valgan verdades es lo único valioso que podrán rescatar. Lo que si me afectará es la desgraciada imagen que estaremos proyectando al resto de nuestros vecinos. Sobre todo porque viajaré en unos días al extranjero. Me imagino la siguiente conversación:

Soy peruano y tu?
Soy argentino. Una lástima lo de tu equipo.
Si una pena, pero felizmente no vi el partido.
Noo, que va, como no vas a ver el partido.

No, no se cómo reaccionare. Tal vez baje la mirada lentamente y camine cabizbajo un buen trecho deseando que la próxima vez todo sea diferente.
