Which of these benefits do you find the most interesting? Why?
Knowledge expansion. Because of my constant interest in research, engineering and project development, reading allows me to access relevant information to improve studies and work.

Which other benefits would you add to the list?
Innovation and creativity. Reading exposes you to new ideas and approaches, which can inspire you in designing technological solutions and engineering projects.

Do you have a favorite author? Why do you like his or her work?
I have to clarify that my reading is specialized in research so I recommend:
Scott Berkun. Why: Explains in a practical way how to lead and manage projects effectively.
George Pólya. Why: He is a reference in the development of analytical skills and problem solving, something essential in both teaching and engineering.

List some books you would encourage other people to read. Why would you recommend these books to others?
“How to Solve It” – George Pólya. Why it helps develop problem-solving strategies, which is essential in teaching math and physics.
“Making Things Happen: Mastering Project Management” – Scott Berkun. Why it explains effective project management

According to the article my answers would be the following:

    1. The most interesting benefit is the improvement of analytical thinking skills. Reading mystery novels, for example, helps develop problem-solving abilities by training the brain to anticipate outcomes and make logical connections.

    2. – Reading allows us to step into different perspectives, enhancing our ability to understand and relate to others.
    – Fiction and imaginative stories stimulate creativity and innovation by exposing readers to new ideas and scenarios.

    3. One of my favorite authors is Gabriel García Márquez. I like his stories because they mix fantasy and reality in a unique way, making them very engaging.

    4. One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez.
A masterpiece of magical realism that explores Latin American history and culture.

    The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
A motivational novel that encourages readers to follow their dreams.

    1. Which of these benefits do you find the most interesting? Why?
The benefit I find most interesting is mental stimulation for the brain. I find it fascinating how reading can help prevent diseases like Alzheimer’s and dementia by keeping the brain active and healthy. Additionally, the fact that reading acts as exercise for the brain, strengthening memory and creating new neural connections, highlights the importance of this habit not only for knowledge but also for long-term health.

    2. Which other benefits would you add to the list?
In addition to those mentioned, I would add:
Improved creativity: Exposure to different ideas, worlds, and perspectives through reading can inspire new ways of thinking and problem-solving.
Reduced screen time: Reading a physical or e-book without distractions can be a healthy way to reduce the time we spend on social media or watching TV.

    3. Do you have a favorite author? Why do you like his or her work?
One of my favorite authors is Jeff Kinney, the creator of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I love his work because he combines humor, relatable situations, and a unique storytelling style that appeals to both kids and adults. The series follows the adventures and misadventures of Greg Heffley, a middle schooler navigating the challenges of school, family, and friendships.

    4. List some books you would encourage other people to read. Why would you recommend these books to others?
Here’s a list of books I would recommend and why:
“1984” by George Orwell: A dystopian novel that remains relevant today. It explores themes like government control, freedom, and truth.
“The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: A seemingly simple but deeply philosophical book. It’s perfect for reflecting on life, relationships, and the importance of looking beyond the surface.
