En el caso de Lima, los proyectos convencionales de transporte urbano, han encontrado obstáculos inesperados durante su implementación, haciéndoles inefectivos y en grave peligro de convertirse en no-factibles. En este último caso, ó el monto de la inversión es muy alto y hay que replantear el Proyecto con nuevos diseños más adecuados a Lima, ó, hay otras alternativas tecnológicas más costo-efectivas, tales como los Sistemas inteligentes de Transporte. Véase la presentación realizada durante el Encuentro Científico internacional 2007 invierno, en el local del Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú.
The conventional transportation projects of Lima-Peru, Bus Rapid Transit and Bikeways, have confronted unexpected and huge implementation problems. As a result, this conventional projects can become ineffective or unfeasible raising concern among the funding agencies. May be this projects would have to go into a refurbishing process with more adequate design to match with Lima city, or, research for other more cost/effective alternatives, such as Intelligent Transportation Systems. El administrador del Blog del Transporte Urbano es Manuel J. Martínez, Ph.D., Economista graduado en la Universidad Católica. El presente blog está destinado a la difusión de sus trabajos en el tema y a fomentar el desarrollo de la ciencia y la tecnología, especialmente en el campo de los Sistemas Inteligentes del Transporte. El suscrito establece que se debe investigar la costo-efectividad de los Sistemas Inteligentes de Transporte, ante los problemas inesperados que están confrontando los proyectos convencionales de transporte urbano durante su implementación en Lima. Una oportunidad que se debe examinar con el fin de ver si los Sistemas Inteligentes de Transporte cumplen en darle a la inversión pública una mayor rentabilidad social.
Esta investigación se llevó adelante con el financiamiento de un proyecto de ciencia y tecnología CONCYTEC, en asociación con AATE, la Autoridad Autónoma del Tren Eléctrico, y también la Universidad Católica tuvo oportunidad de colaborar y asistir en temas puntuales. Se recomienda al Encuentro Científico Internacional para presentar los trabajos científicos a nivel nacional con una garantía de prestigio y colaboración muy elevados.
Manuel J. Martinez, Ph.D. is an Economist graduated at the Catholic University at Lima, registered at the Peruvian Economists Association with the record 4047 since 1990. This blog is dedicated to the dissemination of his works and to promote science and technology, especially Intelligent Transportation Systems. Manuel J. has stated that there should be research on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to see if they can be an alternative to the conventional transportation projects of Lima (bus rapid transit and bikeways). The ITS can become a successful alternative if ITS can obtain higher social profitability than the conventional projects.
This research was funded with the grant 194-2005-CONCYTEC-OAJ, being CONCYTEC the Peruvian Council for Science and Technology, and with the association with AATE the Rail Project for Lima, the Catholic University helped me with research assitants and collaborating Professors. Most of this works have been presented in the Sciences International Meeting (Encuentro Científico Internacional) the most important sciences conference in Peru. Sigue leyendo →
