nicky Marrero

El gran timbalero y percusionista Nicky Marrero estaba en todos lados durante el boom de la salsa de New York en la década de los setenta. Tocó y grabó junto a Eddie Palmieri, Larry Harlow, Ismael Miranda, Típica Novel, Louie Cruz, Fania All Stars, Machito, y muchos mas y se me olvidaba la Típica 73!. Uno de los mas bravos de todos los tiempos. Su estilo es un híbrido de los grandes: Manny Oquendo, Tito Puente y Orestes Vilató. Todavía la rompe en los escenarios ya sea tocando salsa o Latin Jazz. Su lugar en la historia de la salsa está asegurado y de verdad que se lo merece.
