Lima Water Fountain Park: An example of Excellent Engineering
While Lima is generally trashed by Peru guidebooks as the place everyone must dreadfully pass through on their way to other destinations like Machu Picchu, in the past few years great strides have been made to improve the city’s offerings, such as “The Magic Circuit of Water” in Lima’s Parque de la Reserva.
Located adjacent to Peru’s National Stadium and near to the historic center of Lima, the Magic Circuit was completed in 2007, and gives visitors a truly magical experience. A total of 13 fountains showcase how water can be artistically manipulated through form, movement, and light.
It’s interesting and yet perhaps fruitless to ponder why water fountains captivate our imagination and demand our attention in places like this– with the risk of sounding sentimental, perhaps its because we intrinsically understand that water is what in part gives us life.
Maybe it’s also because they are big and beautiful! At 240+ feet, the Magic Fountain (seen at the top) has the Guinness Book Record for being the tallest in a water park (and perhaps in the world). Other fountains in Lima’s Magic Circuit are not as big, but provide an interactive element.

My opinion is that Magic Circuit Park is beautifull and very funny. All the people enjoy at that Park.
Lima is an interesting city, because there are another contemporary buildings such as: Chabuca Granda Park, The Wall Park, The Legends Park, etc.
Also Lima is the best gastronomy city in the whole World, its famous plates are: ceviche, anticuchos, pachamanca, etc.
Yes, I have. I finished wet.It´s amazing.I from Arequipa. No contemporary buildings in Arequipa .They are in construction.
No, I know that place yet. I'm not very interested in knowing, maybe that modern buildings do not exciting as much as the old.
I visited it whit some foreing friends. The were surprised and enjoyed so much. It´s fantastic. I hope to visit again, but at night, because I went in the afternoon the first time.
I went with my daughters last december. We enjoyed the nigth playing with water. We finished wet but very happy. To me it is an amazing construccion and give us a point to spend time with the family.
In my last holydays I went with my family, there were the Santa Claus's house. My son enjoyed playing with the water and I think to visit again "The Magic Circuit of the Water in Lima" on July.
I had the oportunity to go with my daughter, she was amazed and me too... but then we got a flu!!

I think it existe other big engineering constructions, such as gallito ciego's dam, located in the north of Peru. I think it is very iportant water source por agriculture activity
I agree with you Rosario. The Fountain Park in Lima is fantastic. In addition, I can recomend after visit it, you can enjoy delicious anticuchos. They offered them, just near to the park and the National Stadium.

I haven’t even been in that place, because I’m always traveling and I don’t have a time to make tourism. But, after read this article, I think that is, surely, a beautiful park.
I want to talk you about one of the most engineering achievements in Peru. Its name is Ferrocarril Central and it’s located in the central andes. This structure is the highest railway in America, because rises to 4.835 meters on the sea level in the route between Ticlio and Morococha city.
