"El software nos quita responsabilidad"Jaron Lanier. Experto en computación, músico, artista visual y filósofo que popularizó el concepto "realidad virtual" en los años ochenta. Profesor visitante en la Universidad de Berkley.
"Es muy peligroso que le demos al software el poder de ser mas inteligente para quitarnos una responsabilidad, porque así estamos perdiendo control de calidad".
La llamada "democratización de la Web" y sus usos (Flickr, Twitter y Facebook) parecieran rebatir ese argumento.
"Los humanos somos infinitamente superiores a las máquinas y nuestro talento debe usarse para crear tecnología creativa e innovadora y no software repetitivo. No somos gadgets porque tenemos talento."
Estos argumentos han sido presentados recientemente por Lanier en Londres, y dan pie nuevamente a la controversia en cuanto a la web social (2.0). Controladores o controlados.
Aunque lo cierto es que las tendencias tecnológicas no hacen más que confirmar que el ser humano es un gran inventor.
