14/06: ONE OPEN ACCESS 2.0
The Public Library of Science (PLoS) publishes a family of journals that make peer-reviewed scientific and medical information freely available online. Anyone with an Internet connection can read, download, distribute, or use everything we publish without restriction.
This is called open-access publishing and now it's time to take it to another level.
Later this year, PLoS will launch PLoS ONE.
. A peer-reviewed publication that publishes all rigorously performed science
. A vibrant online forum that encourages scientific dialogue and debate
. A "hassle-free" process that gets your work online within weeks
Imagine all the ways that such a resource could accelerate progress.
