Este miércoles 25 de noviembre a las 7pm se realizará nuevamente una actividad del Capítulo Técnico Computer
Society de la Rama Estudiantil IEEE PUCP. En esta oportunidad, la actividad consistirá en una charla donde se tocará el tema "WEB SEMANTICS".En estos días donde es imposible encontrar información en la web sin usar algún buscador web, ya no es difícil imaginar que dichos buscadores web interpreten qué es lo que en verdad queremos buscar, dejando de lado el concepto de búsqueda como una simple comparación de palabras y así pasar a la nueva tendencia que es que nuestro buscador comprenda nuestras palabras y las ideas detras de ellas,

Es por ello que, como su nombre lo indica, la WEB SEMANTICS se basa en la idea de añadir metadatos semánticos a la World Wide Web. Esas informaciones adicionales describen el contenido, el significado y la relación de los datos.El objetivo es mejorar Internet ampliando la interoperabilidad entre los sistemas informáticos.

Lógica Difusa en la Web Semántica

Queridos amigos aqui una invitación que me llegó y deseo compartir debido a su importancia y lo interesante que se vé para los que disfrutamos del tema.

Charla Capturing Intelligence: the role of Fuzzy Logic in the Semantic Web impartida por el profesor Elie Sanchez, reconocido investigador del Laboratoire d´Informatique Fondamentale, Marseille, Francia".

La charla se llevará a cabo este viernes 24 de julio a las 11 am, en el auditorio de la Facultad de Ciencias e Ingeniería de la PUCP

Abstract

Most of today’s Web content is suitable for human consumption. The Semantic Web is presented as an extension of the current web in which information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation. Computers will understand the meaning of semantic data on a web page by following links to specified ontologies. But while the vision of the Semantic Web and associated research attracts attention, as long as two-value-based logical methods are used, no progress can be expected in handling ill-structured, uncertain or imprecise information encountered in real world knowledge. Computers require precise definitions but humans have the remarkable hability to work and take decisions in an imprecise environment. So that mostly due to the nature of the information in world knowledge, there is a need for a collection of tools drawn from fuzzy logic.
After discussing some issues related to fuzzy logic and its meaning, this presentation will cover concepts and techniques exhibiting the usefulness of Fuzzy Logic in the Semantic Web, including illustrated examples of ontologies. Then, it will be addressed the classification of future Webs: Web 1.0 (the current WWW), Web 2.0 (the Social Web), Web 3.0 (the Semantic Web) and Web 4.0 (the Intelligent Web). Finally it will be discussed the role Fuzzy Logic can play in the future, specially in processing a semantic type of information in the Intelligent Web, with humanlike behavior and reasoning.
