THE IMPORTANCE OF BODY LANGUAGE IN A JOB INTERVIEW

Leaning in isn’t just a metaphorical way to get ahead. It’s also a legitimate way to portray good body language during a job interview.

Job interviews are notorious tightrope walks. You want to be confident, but not obnoxious; intelligent but not a know-it-all. Trying to find a balance and also explain why you deserve a job is hard enough. But what if your body language could help you out?

The first time I had an interview committee and I was nervous, I was sweating my hands, it took me a long time to respond and I focused on preparing the answers. It did not go well for me.

Yes, they are important, as they say in the video, they show the trust and integrity of a person and how connected one is with the interviewer.

For example, body posture, use of the hands and see the interviewer.

I think it refers to how important is the time you dedicate to work and how much you dedicate to other parts of life, such as family, hobbies, friendships or education etc. The first is focused on just working and the second is more balanced, because you work on what you like but you also spend time in other areas of life.
