I did the test and I got 280 points, this score corresponds to the “Arts sector”. My real job is related to the management area, but I enjoy the different manifestations of art. It could mean that management area is a kind of art, a manager needs to be creative and innovative.
When I finished school I was fifteen years old, too young and without experience to define precisely what I want to be. I decided to study medicine and combine it with the ability to solve problems at colective level instead of individual level.
Personally, I do not use Linkedin or similar websites to look for a job, generally I get a job through relationships I have been building throughout my professional life.
Nowadays, experienced people have been displaced from high positions by young professionals, what do you think about this trend?

I like to work with people. Going back in time to choose a job would have been to be a chef and teach
1- If I had a coincidence, it resulted in teaching or working in human resources.
2-Having studied in a public school where they taught technical work, I was interested in making clothes.
3- I do not have references of Linkedin but I think that social networks facilitate many workspaces but you always have to be careful in their use.

    Hi Elsa;
I agree with you, social netwoks are very important to go into a job, but maintaining it depends on oneself. On the other side, when I recommend someone, I need to be sure about the match between a person´s job skills and the needs of the position.

1.-Are the results as you expected? Do they have a coincidence with your real job?
Yes, I got the results that I expected. I am a lawyer, I love my career, and I enjoy my job.
2-What did you want to be when you were younger?
When I was younger I want to be an industrial enginner, because I love the mathematics, but at the same time I loved to read, for that reason I wanted to be a lawyer too. At the first time was very difficult to take a decision, but finally I took a vocational test and I decided to be a lawyer.
3- Do you think social media websites, like Linkedin ,are important tools when looking for a job?
Yes, I think these tools are very important, because If you posted you Curriculum vitae in the web is easier to get a job. Nowdays, the most important companies used the web sites to find the people who have the profile they want.

    Hello Katherine Lopez,
I agree with your opinion about social media websites. As you said, most important companies are using them to recruit people and to do a first preview scanning before the interview process.
I guess that I will be updating my career profile soon and upload it to one of these social websites 🙂

Hi Waldy and Katherine, you are right. The private sector hires headhunters companies to recruit personal and these companies start the search on these platforms. I was talking about my experience, I have almost always been working in the public sector or in international agencies linked to the public sector.
    Best regards,

    1. Are the results expected? Do they have a coincidence with your real work?
Indeed, the results I got are what I expected. I am currently a teacher and the experience of helping other people learn is one of the most amazing I have ever had. Above all, because I was fortunate to accompany learning processes with children, youth and adults.

    2. What did you want to be when you were younger?
As a young person I always wanted to play in a career in which I have to interact with people. Above all, I was interested in being the protagonist of events, which I hoped would be transcendent. Fortunately, the school surveys allowed me to discover humanistic careers, including education. I started to experience this beautiful career and discovered that I am really made to accompany these teaching and learning processes.

    3. Do you think that social networking websites, such as Linkedin, are important tools when you are looking for a job?
I consider that virtual tools such as Linkedin truly contribute to the dissemination of professional profiles, as they generate networks of professional contact, as well as references of people who support career and work performance. However, like many tools, poorly used could generate false expectations and an inappropriate impact not only on the user but on the network that has been formed.

I feel that my work is very important because we ensure that the supply of electricity is continuous 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

1- Are the results as you expected? Do they have a coincidence with your real job?

The result of the survey of the video coincides with my work, my score was 250 that corresponds to the arts sector that includes engineering.

2-What did you want to be when you were younger?

When I was young, I always wanted to be an engineer, but a civil engineer to be able to build buildings and cities.

3- Do you think social media websites, like Linkedin ,are important tools when looking for a job?

I think that social media websites are very important because as in many things, they help us find job easier and faster.

    What do you think?
