Hola mi estimado seguidor, por motivos de fuerza mayor (limitaciones de tiempo e intereses) me vo forzado a escribir este mi último post en este blog. Despues de ello este blog queda desactivado.

Cosas geeks || Geek things

leyendo mi revista spectrum me crucé con este articulito, así que mirenlo hahaha y piensen si han encontrado su proyecto para fin de año. Y para todos los electrónicos de la PUCP el barbot de la pucp ya se hizo hace años barbots solo pueden ser proyectos personales.
En días como hoy en los que me siento un poco depresivo leer un poco sobre barbots me levanta el ánimo y me hace pensar en nuevos diseños, yo he pensado en que el peruano debería hacer pisco sour, pero en realidad creo que con que haga chilcano de pisco es por donde debería de empezar!. Quien dijo manos a la obra? avisenme y le metemos		 Reading Spectrum I ran into this article, so there watch it now haha, now think if you not found your end of the year personal project!. And for all the EE majors of the PUCP the barbot was done long ago at the university so is not suitable for Proyecto 2.
On days when i feel depress reading about barbots cheer me up and makes me think about designs, perhaps the peruvian barbot should make pisco sour but we should probably start with the Chilcano first XD. Who wants to start now? let me know !!!

how to fix the skype video

well I have a logitech camera on my computer and I found this way to solve it I had the green screan so I guess that I should share

If you’re using the Jaunty edition of Ubuntu (9.04) you’ll find that Skype video may not work due to a compatibility issue with the video libraries. I’ll assume that anyone reading this is a complete Linux novice, so please excuse any oversimplifications if you’re not.

To test this you’ll need to bring up a terminal window (Applications | Accessories | Terminal) and type the following at the prompt (you may need to enter your administration password):

sudo gstreamer-properties

Select the Video tab and test the default input. If you get video then your webcam is fine, and you’ll need to create a small script to start Skype with a compatibility library. If you don’t, then refer to the Ubuntu forums for more help. Close the applet and type the following in the terminal:

sudo gedit /usr/local/bin/skype

This brings up a (probably blank) editor, copy the following lines into it

#!/bin/bash
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so /usr/bin/skype

and then save it. You’ll need to make this executable so just type the following into the terminal

sudo chmod a+x /usr/local/bin/skype

That’s it, close the terminal. If you start Skype from your usual menu shortcut it should start up and if you navigate to your video settings and test them they should now work. If they don’t then you’re back to the Ubuntu forums. Sigue leyendo →

sooo yeah I should return to the rock climbing wall but I have realize that i need some people to train with otherwise I can’t train also I have decided this because I feel that I’m loosing all my strength anyway I went back to rock climb this time I went with some friends that decided to tag along asi que bueno he decidido regresar a escalar en roca pero me doy cuenta que necesito de personas que entrenen conmigo ya que de otra manera no lo haría ademas la razon de esta desición es que estoy perdiendo toda mi fuerza, asi que he decidido regresar a escalar esta vez con algunos amigos que decidieron hacerme la taba XD

Con el tiempo ajustao || With just enough time

hoy fue un dia raro, pensé que podía hacer muchas cosas pero para variar me he equivocado. Creo que mi problema es que nunca considero las variables externas y asumo que podré hacer todo lo que me propongo, sin embargo en fiestas me gana la hora. Y aún no consigo el regalo para mi hermana!!!! No se que hacer.
Como algunos de ustedes queridos lectores saben yo estudio canto lírico ( demostración) es por ello que hoy fui a mi ya popular clase de canto con mi querida maestra Marlene, en realidad las clases son muy buenas pero pueden terminar con todas mis energías, luego de ello regresé a casa a almorzar, luego de comer y compartir con mi madre y mi hermana salí con rumbos desconocidos XD
Así que tomé el bus para el infinito y la avenida abancay porque decidí ir a paruro a comprar cosas para jugar con el taladro en la tarde. en fin, al parecer es todo más dificil de lo que parece, pues el camino estaba repleto de autos y buses peor de lo que suele estar, hace 2 años que no voy al centro de lima en fiestas de fin de año y debo decir que es un caos, es el colapso de las calles, está atiborrado de gente así que tomé la ruta del penal para poder ir más rápido debo mencionar aquí una frase de mis amigos: en el centro es más peligroso mantenerse quieto que en movimiento los asaltantes te roban si tu movimiento es uniforme o si no te mueves, por lo que debes actuar erraticamente y siempre atento. Luego de esto caminé hasta polvos azules, con respecto a esto último debo recordar que polvos esta repleto de gente pero no tanto como el centro y que caminar hasta ahí era más rapido que ir en bus o auto, sin contar que mas barato y altamente peligroso, sin embargo tengo pinta de pobre así que mucho no tenia que perder tampoco (5 soles) en polvos busque y busque conciertos clásicos y documentales de discovery. De hecho fue una perdida de tiempo parcial, porque son contados los puestos con musica clasica y cobran 4 veces lo que un disco pirata normal
y los documentales están 5 soles, en fin el hecho es que los curioseé y al darme cuenta de la hora volé a casa de mi hija porque hoy quedamos en ir a ver madagascar 2.
Despues de la película nos fuimos a miraflores a tomarnos te de burbujas y era bueno, luego de regreso a casa aunque no hice tanto como me hubiera gustado hacer durante el día 		Today was a strange day, I tought that I could do a lot of stuff but as always I was wrong. I think my problem is that I never consider the different variables that are on my way adn I asume that I can do everything, nevertheless the time beats me on the race. And I can’t figure out what to give to my sister!! I don’t know what to do there.
As some of your my readers might already know I study for classical singing (demostración) that is why I went to the singing class with my dear singing coach Marlene, to be honest the classes are really good but I end up very tired, therefore I went back home to have lunch and talk with mom and sis and after I was done I went out again with unknown destiny XD
Therefore I took the bus to the infinite and the Abancay Av. because I decided to go to paruro Av. to buy some stuff to play with the power drill later on. Anyway, seems that everything is more difficult than it seems ‘cause the path was full of cars ans buses it was worse than it usually is, it’s been 2 years since I last went to downtown on holidays but I have to say that the chaos has a new definition there, the streets are crwoded so I had to take a route next to the penitentiary to go faster I have to say that the best thing to do there is to keep moving if you move on straight line or hold still pickpockets is what will cross your way, so I kept my eyes wide open. After that I walk all the way to “polvos Azules” I went to see if they had concerts of classical singers or discovery documentals I was a big waste of time only a couple of places had what I wanted and they were rather expensive anyway I took a look tehre and I went running to my daughter’s place because we were supposed to see Madagascar 2.
After the movie we went to miraflores to get some bubble tea and it was good, then back home though I didn’t do as much as I wanted to do during the day!

Electric Circuits // Circuitos Eléctricos

So i’s confirmed I’m going to be the TA for Electric circuits 2 at the PUCP this semester.
I was TA last semester of that very same course, I really enjoyed it, ok the TA have more fun on it because we don’t have to know the course so well as students but we do anyway by this time all those calculations are simple. To be honest I think I should make a review now specially from the first part the sine and cos always kill people. Anyway I hope you all have fun because I will		 Está confirmado voy a ser JP de circuitos eléctricos este semestre en la PUCP
El semestre anterior también llevé esa jefatura, felizmente fue muy entretenida para mi, obviamente el JP se la pasa mejor porque no necesitamos saber lo suficiente para dar el examen pero en realidad cuando llegar a cierto nivel de la carrera, esas cosas de circuitos se vuelven muy sencillas. En realidad he pensado en darme un repaso adicional, en especial de la primera parte que tiene todos esos senos y cosenos XD que siempre masacran a los alumnos. En fin espero que se diviertan jeje o al menos yo si lo lo haré

Well I talked about how i got a place to live and stuff, so well It was time to start classes,when you are a crazy Peruvian, because I must say that I’m crazy even for Peruvian standards; there is a lot to do.
So the courses that I took I believe are not interesting for you, therefore I’ll be talking about other stuff.
Ok as a foreigner you need to know somethings, USA is big and it’s hard to move around so you either have a car or a friend to drive you around, or use the bus system (depending on the city it might be good or bad) I liked the Austin metropolitan bus system and the LA one too but San Francisco was horrible. by the way, fare varies with the city, Austin is cheap 1 dollar for a full day pass and it’s free for students at UT (yay, you use your UTEID card)
There are some places to go and some things to check out, to see what is going on get a copy of the Austin Chronicles (it’s a free newspaper with all the things that are going on in the city) also you have to go to a game, and visit the museums, there are some plays and movie theaters I liked the alamo draft House because you could order a hamburger while you watched the movie (that was totally new for me) oh yeah and don’t forget to go to the lake (several lakes surround the area which makes Austin very different from other Texan cities) also the UT tower is a good place to go and the capitol is important too. the Zilker park and other locations are places you can get by bus so you should go, also during summer you can see the bats on the bridge (just ask if you get there) people is nice and they are not xenophobic like in other cities. Anyway I’ll put some pictures next. 		Bueno ya les he hablado de como consegui alojamiento y esas cosas, asi que ya es tiempo de empezar las clases, y cuando eres un peruano loco, porque soy loco incluso para los estandares peruanos, hay muchas cosas por hacer.
Asi que los cursos que lleve no creo que les interesen asi que les hablaré sobre otras cosas.
Ok como extranjero necesitas saber unas cuantas cosas, EE.UU. es un pais muy grande y es muy complicado moverse si no tienes un auto o si un amigo no te lleva por la ciudad, o puedes tomar los buses (dependiendo de la ciudad este puede ser bueno o malo) Me gustaron los sistemas de transporte de Austin y de Los Angeles pero el de San Francisco fue terrible. Por cierto, la tarifa varia dependiendo de la ciudad, Austin es barato pues cuesta 1 dolar por un pase por todo el día y es gratuito para los alumnos de la Universidad de Texas (usando el carnet )
Hay lugares que debes de visitar si vas, para enterarte que esta pasando en la ciudad consigue el “Austin Chronicle’s” (es un periódico gratuito que dice que pasa en la ciudad en entretenimiento) también debes de ir a un juego y ver los museos, hay teatros y películas me gustaba el Alamo Draft House porque podía pedir una hamburguesa mientras veía una película (algo totalmente nuevo para mi) Ah si y no te olvides de visitar el lago (varios lagos rodean la ciudad lo que hace de Austin una ciudad diferente de las demás) un buen lugar para ir es la Torre de la universidad y el capitolio es un lugar para ir también. El parque Zilker es uno de los lugares para ir además se puede ir a estos lugares en el Bus de la ciudad, también debes de ir en verano a ver a los murciélagos en el puente (solo pregunten si llegan) la gente es muy agradable y no son xenofóbicos como en otras ciudades. I guess I should start talking about some other stuff that happened on texas. Like living: that in fact could be more interesting, and I’ll get to talk about some other people I haven’t talk about yet. Creo que podria empezar a hablar de otras cosas que pasaron en texas. Como la forma de vida: eso creo que podria interesarte mas, y ademas me dejara hablar de otras personas de las que aún no he hablado.
