Inequality in US – Of the 1%, by the 1%, for the 1% – Joseph E. Stiglitz (Also in Spanish)

Inequality

The upper 1 percent of Americans are now taking in nearly a quarter of the nation’s income every year. In terms of wealth rather than income, the top 1 percent control 40 percent.

An interesting article of Joseph E. Stiglitz, that was published in Vanity Fair, in May 2011. It speaks about the nature of US inequality and its social effects such as the erosion of their sense of identity, in which fair play, equality of opportunity, and a sense of community are so important.
